I would say not really. It's mostly white, which is true of all of Dutchess County. If you compare Hyde Park to the rest of Dutchess though I'd say it's a bit more diverse, with Poughkeepsie being the one other area that's a bit more diverse.

According to City-Data, it's 89% white, 4% black, 3% Hispanic, which very small percentages of other races making up the difference. However, the school district's composition shows more of a mix- 79% white, 12% black, 7% Hispanic, 2% Asian.
