"A peaceful place to live in"

We have been living in Jindalee for 9+ years on a private road. It’s peaceful and cool. It is very easy to access shops such as DFO and Jindalee Home.

"A place to be!"

This wonderful place known as Jindalee is lovely! Good facilities such as schools, restaurants, clubs and more! Shops offer great services, and the parks are lovely. I would recommend this suburb as the place to be if you have the money.

"Very convenient, everything you could want except for a train station"

I've just bought after spend a could of years living there. You've got a very nice set of shops on the west, endless shopping on the east, and a very long bikeway/path for those inclined to exercise. It's very safe as is evidenced by dry neighbourhood watch report that comes out quarterly and rarely reports anything apart from some low level break-ins with little stolen. There's a police station, plenty of parkland, good cafes, restaurants, doctors, pharmacies, swimming pools, fuel stations, and of course the highway going north and south. Superb spot.

"If you love Vietnamese food then you must go to pho bar the best Vietnamese in the centenary suburbs"

The works soup is simply the best. And the service is second to none!

"Nice Area - shame about some people.."

We chose Jindalee for the schools. Whist viewing the schools we liked the look of the area, and was recommended by quite a few people to think about living in Jindalee, so decided to move here. The house we chose was on a main road and was positioned between the two schools and with what appeared to be retired people. Perfect! .... Or so we thought..
Since we moved in (2 years ago) we have not had a full weeks sleep in peace, we live next door to a house share of 18-25 year olds, (who happened to move in 2 weeks after us) who think playing music, shouting, lighting illegal fires, stealing from your back yard, until 4am (the list could go on) is acceptable behaviour?! .. Police have been called numerous times (I think they've even given up calling round now) and the fire brigade and still they continue to be anti social. 2 years later, nothings changed!
And to add to our disappointment of the area, another family have moved across the road and they too have screaming competitions randomly until 2am. We are so leaving this place the first opportunity we get. It just makes me wonder now, what other areas that are 'sort after' what they are really like? .. We have small children at school as well as an older one at work, as well as ourselves. and have to be up for 5-6am everyday! This is made difficult because of our neighbours from hell!
Do not live here if you are working. Do not live here if you have children. Its for single party animals only from what we can gather.

Hi WornOUT,

We're actually about to move into Jindalee, on Curragundi Road. This wouldn't happen to be the street you just moved out of would it?

WornOUT

It sure is Curragundi road!!.. Haven't actually moved yet, our lease it up in June.. and these last few months are dragging...
Mind you, I did over hear the neighours say they were moving out in two weeks - Maybe you have brought their house??

christhehunter

We're actually about to sign a rental agreement for 1 year, just to get a feel for the area and possibly purchase down the track. I guess I shouldn't go mentioning street numbers online but are you towards the Yallambee road end, or to be even more precise, near the small gated entrance to centenary high school? Also, are you on left or right hand side of the road, heading towards the river?

I'm actually doubting our decision to move there now as we work and have a child as well.. :(

WornOUT

If you have facebook... Add me 'Saf N Ant P-j' I can private message you everything then.
Or heres my email '[email protected]'

Done.

Cheers!

"What dreams are made of"

This is without doubt the best suburb in Brisbane, considering I have rented and lived in ten + over the years. Just brilliant in so many ways.
