I think Canterbury-Bankstown Council should allocate another area in Lakemba to make another small park. I feel Lakemba lacks trees and greenery. Instead of building more units they should either build a shopping centre or create a park so the locals can enjoy.

There are many small parks, garden areas & recreation areas throughout the Canterbury region.

There is a massive park in neighbouring Wiley Park that is 2.5 km square. It has a large pond and a Amphitheatre where Christmas Carols & festivals are held.

Parry Park is another large park bordering Lakemba. It features many sporting facilities including tennis courts, cricket pitches & soccer fields.

There are various other parks throughout Lakemba ranging in size from the quite large Hunt Park with children's play equipment to smaller reserves.

You can research many facilities for the area on the City of Canterbury Council's website http://www.canterbury.nsw.gov.au/www/html/38-parks-recreation--sporting-facilities.asp
