Ward Pound Reservation has over 4,000 Acres, beautiful hiking trails (you can bring your dog, but must leash) and horse trails as well. It is open 7 days a week from 8 A.M. until dusk. The Trailside Nature Museum is open Mon.-Fri. 9 A.M. - 4 P.M. Their childrens educatonal programs are wonderful, especially Stream Study, which my children loved!

It's open 9 am to 4 pm, closed Monday and Friday. It seems geared towards kids, with interactive exhibits and Native American artifacts.
