Sakura Blue - 4600 Shelbyville Rd and Asahi - 3701 Lexington Rd are two of my favorites in St. Matthews. They also have a $1 sake night. If you want good sushi and the best atmosphere (for dates and for fun groups) go to Sapporo - 1706 Bardstown Rd in the Highlands. They all have slightly different features and great sushi!

The best sushi places (according to my daughter as I won't eat uncooked fish) are Wild Ginger and Dragon King's Daughter. Personally, I have no preference.
