Reviews of Lower Mitcham, SA
"A great suburb, everything is close"
What a great place to live. Leafy , lots of families, enormous selection of public and private schools. The suburb has train and good buses to the city. It is 15 -20 mins to town (less on a good day), same to Marion , the beach and you can be in the hills (Stirling) quickly and its quick to the southern express way too. It has lots of great parks in lower Mitcham and the surrounding areas eg Mitcham.

"Peaceful, convenient and family friendly suburb"
We really enjoy living here. The street are quiet, but neighbourly. The public transport, both train and buses are excellent, and the shopping centre is a great draw. We came here 5 years ago, built an extension and intend to stay.

"Lovely and leafy"
I love living here. Lots of trees, big blocks and privacy, nice for walking the dog in and around the suburb and neighboring suburb. The neighbors are quiet and friendly but not too in your face friendly. The train line is very handy into the city. Mitcham shops are great for groceries and the local pub has been renovated. You're also a short drive from the cafes restaurants and shops in Unley area. We have added an extension and have no plans to ever leave!

"A great area close to the city and everything else you could want"
Similar to Mitcham it is close to the city and well serviced by public transport. Lower Mitcham is starting to get a bit of rise and fall as the flats of Adelaide rise up into the Adelaide Hills but its mostly flat.
I like Lower Mitcham, its a bit cheaper than Mitcham and so a bit easier to get in.
Windy Point restaurant is just up the hill for a great night out and beautiful views of the lights of Adelaide.
The houses are old and some are starting to show their ages but the blocks are large and it is well worth the money.
Lower Mitcham is a great spot for families and young couples but would suit retirees and singles as well that want proximity to the city but the feel of a well established suburb. I have looked in here numerous times and often come across a nice house ready for renovation but with two small children renovating is not for me, I'll let you renovate and I'll come and buy the house when you're done.
