"Prime Area of Belconnen"
Macquarie is located around 7 kms north west of Canberra. It is one of the most central suburbs in the Belconnen area. There are two local shopping centres in the area; a small local one on Lachlan Street and a more major shopping centre known as the Jamison Centre. The mega shopping centre in Belconnen is also only 2 kms away. It is a quiet nice little community which has a community market every Sunday and one of the only public swimming pools in Canberra which has the only outdoor water slide in Canberra. It has both primary and high schools in the area making it the perfect place to raise a family.
