Is public transport from the outer suburbs quick? What's the quickest kind?

Adelaide has been electrifying its railway lines, the Seaford line which serves the Southern suburbs is electric and trains run regularly. Travel times from Seaford are appox one hour tjis varies due to time of day. The northern suburbs likewise has a train service as does Outer Harbour which is west plus the south eadtern & hills suburbs also have a train service.
There are heaps of buses never as quick and comfy as the train.
