diseases because of Pigeons

hi everyone,
Its nothing like I have any persnal dislike against pigeons
as pigeons are very common to almost very city in Australia, They often
make nests in buildings and rapidly reproduce. Breeding occurs throughout the year
Contact with pigeon droppings may pose a health risk.
human diseases are known to be associated with pigeon droppings:

histoplasmosis,
cryptococcosis,
psittacosis,
In some cases bronchitis
and many more....

So be more active toward cleaning city and don't let the pigeon to make nest around your building and homes.
Be safe be healthy..

I agree AshleyWillis .. there is a real reason why pigeons are called the "rats of the sky". In London, great expense was undertaken to remove the pests from Trafalgar Square and now Londoners can enjoy eating their lunch without being defecated on by these horrid birds. I was horrified when I re-visited my favourite European city, Venice, to find that pigeons have literally taken over St Mark's Square. If anyone is in any doubt what damage can be done by pigeons (in soiling areas to a level that make those areas unpleasant and hazardous to your health), have a look at what is happening at St Mark's Square. More controls (meaning culling) should be made with pigeons.
