MELBOURNE – April 12, 2021

Homely.com.au, a leading industry-backed Australian real estate portal, has announced that Luke Kenyon has joined its Executive Team taking on the newly created role of Head of Product.

As Homely’s Head of Product, Luke will create and manage Homely’s product strategy and roadmap to increase consumer audience, engagement, retention, data integrity and revenue.

Luke has extensive experience in high growth companies in Australia and Europe like Sportsbet, RACV, and REA Group. He spent 3.5 years at REA and was pivotal in growing their engaged consumer audience using innovative products and data strategies.

Adam Spencer, Homely’s Co-Founder, says, “with so many exciting products and developments in the pipeline for 2021, we realised it was necessary to expand our Executive Team and create the Head of Product position. The appointment will allow for a dedicated expert to live and breathe Homely’s product every day in order to make the rapid advancements we’re after”.

Adam says, “we are thrilled to have someone of Luke’s calibre, skills and experience in the real estate industry on board. Having a proven track record of impressive results in mobile consumer growth, we’re confident Luke’s expertise will strengthen our leadership team and considerably propel Homely’s mission to provide an alternative real estate portal to all Australians”.

“Luke’s comprehensive product roadmap will put Homely on track for a phenomenal year in terms of product releases, as well as audience and revenue growth.”

“Since starting at Homely, Luke has already made significant improvements to Homely’s product development processes, having helped to streamline the Development Team’s resources and workflow primarily focusing on key quarterly themes and goals outlined in the roadmap”, Adam says.

Luke says, “it was an absolute no-brainer to join Homely, as I have been monitoring their progress for some years due to their innovative features and products, and now it’s time to take it to the next level”.

“I have spent the first few months gaining an understanding of customer and consumer pain points. This understanding has enabled me to establish a detailed product vision, strategy and roadmap to help Homely achieve its strategic objectives of increasing engagement, audience and revenue”, Luke says.

“I’m truly excited to help Homely work towards its vision of becoming a major competitor in the Australian property portal space by making a difference to how consumer’s experience property in Australia whilst at the same time providing maximum value to our agents.”

“With my background in well-known tech market leaders, I bring strong development and best practices when building and rolling out high growth and innovative products. During the first few months, I’ve worked with Homely’s highly talented Development Team and introduced some new ways of working. The team has been amazing to adapt so quickly to ensure we as a team are always working on the most impactful feature to realise the Homely product strategy and vision.”

“Working for Homely under Adam and Jason has been a real privilege with their long history in the market, and I’m so glad to join the newly formed Leadership Team that’ll take Homely to the next chapter”, Luke says.

Adam says, “I can see that Luke will be not only instrumental in the roll-out and success of Homely’s newest products but also for the long-term planning, direction and evolution of Homely’s product offering. I look forward to working alongside Luke to ensure we deliver a better, seamless and valuable property search experience to our customers”.
