QUEENSLAND – November 20, 2020

Homely.com.au, the real estate portal helping millions of Australians find the perfect home, has gained significant momentum in Queensland teaming up with some of the biggest names in real estate.

Following the strategic expansion of their Queensland Sales Team and their sponsorship of the Gold Coast Titans earlier this year, Homely’s Agent Participation Program has attained considerable traction throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Far North Queensland.

Jason Spencer, Homely’s Co-Founder, says, “to our great delight, Queensland agencies and agents have enthusiastically welcomed Homely all across the state, from Coorparoo to Cairns and from Townsville to Toowong”.

“It’s fantastic to see over 30 leading Queensland agencies and agents joining and recognising the value in Homely’s national Agent Participation Program. The amount of support we’re experiencing in Queensland is more than we could’ve ever anticipated a few months back”, Jason says.

“It goes to show no matter whether they’re operating in regional areas like Cooktown in the far tropical north, coastal suburbs or bustling cities, there’s a huge appetite amongst agents from all walks of life to support an alternative industry-backed real estate portal like Homely.”

“Our initial success in Queensland is a hugely promising sign for Homely’s further expansion and growth trajectory in the Sunshine State and further throughout Australia in 2021”, Jason says.

A selection of Homely’s influential Queensland partners include:

  • Dane Atherton & Rob Forde (Harcourts Coastal Gold Coast)
  • Todd Pearce & Sue Pearce (Page & Pearce Townsville)
  • Warren Ramsey (Ray White Ipswich)
  • Patrick McKinnon & Drew Davies (Place Ascot Brisbane)
  • Shane Colquhoun (LJ Hooker Nerang, Pacific Pines, Helensvale, Hope Island, Coomera & Ormeau – Gold Coast)
  • David Murphy & Ray Murphy (RE/Max Cairns)
  • Daniel Lee & Dylan Simpson (Plum Property Brisbane)
  • Jason Rayner & Angela Rayner (Mr Real Estate Rockhampton)
  • Aaron Brooks & Sam Devlin (Harcourts Property Centre Brisbane)
  • Danny Malone (LJ Hooker Broadwater Gold Coast)
  • Andrew McSweeny (Ray White Cairina Brisbane)
  • Giovanni Spinella & Santo Spinella (Explore Property Townsville)
  • Craig Gillard (LJ Hooker Cairns Beaches)

Shane Colquhoun, LJ Hooker Managing Director of a six-office network across Nerang, Pacific Pines, Helensvale, Hope Island, Coomera and Ormeau, says, “we jumped at the chance to partner with Homely. We’re big believers that competition in the property portal space is crucial to bring about wide-scale change for the betterment of the industry. Homely is the real estate portal QLD agents have been begging for, and the quality of QLD industry partners they’ve bought on recently is a testament to that”.

Daniel Lee, Principal of Plum Property in Brisbane, says, “in such a crowded marketplace, I’m all for bringing something unique to the table to draw in an audience and stand out. Homely does exactly that through its exclusive Street and Suburb Review content, and I love that someone researching Taringa or Indooroopilly on Homely can find my listings and a treasure trove of local info all in the same place”.

“The sense of community and direct connection to locals is something agents, and consumers just don’t get on other property portals, and it led to my decision to partner with Homely”, Daniel adds.

Most recently two agencies from Cairns and a further two agencies from Townsville signed on to Homely’s Agent Participation Program, kicking off Homely’s expansion into Far North Queensland.

Todd Pearce, Principal of Page & Pearce one of the largest real estate agencies in Townsville, says, “we are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with Homely and are thrilled to support an enduring alternative in real estate advertising”.

Todd says, “I believe thinking outside the box is so powerful when it comes to effective and innovative real estate marketing. I feel Homely as a property portal does that by challenging the norm and bringing a fresh approach to how agents go about advertising properties in Aus, and for this reason, I had to get involved”.

Todd says, “Homely’s Agent Participation Program has come along just at the right time for agents wanting to optimise their advertising dollars and support industry change for the long term. I look forward to seeing big things and further expansion into Queensland and beyond in the new year for Homely”.
