MELBOURNE – August 26, 2021

Homely.com.au, Australia’s third largest national online real estate marketplace, has successfully built a network of industry partners throughout Tasmania to join its impressive existing network of over 500 agents across Australia. Senior Partnerships Manager, Freddie Seaholme-Rolan, leads the charge.

Alongside Homely’s impressive growth in South Australia, Queensland and Northern Territory, the online real estate portal has signed up a number of Tasmania’s top real estate agencies.

At home in a new territory

Homely’s Head of Sales, Rory Cook shares, “We are excited to be gaining even more momentum, this time in Tasmania. Feedback from agents has been overwhelmingly positive and the Tasmanian real estate industry is welcoming Homely with open arms as the disruptive, cost-effective property portal the industry needs.”

“Being a national industry-backed portal, it was important to meet with agents across Tasmania and listen to their frustrations with online advertising costs. There is a strong desire to see change and an appetite for alternatives,” says Senior Partnerships Manager, Freddie Seaholme-Rolan. He continues, “the beauty of the Homely service is that agents can build their own digital footprint through engaging with Homely’s reviews and discussions. That helps everyone in the agency by bringing more traffic to their site, plus it adds more useful content for the community.”

Homely has partnered with some of Tasmanian real estate’s most well-known agents. Tony Morrison, CEO of Harcourts Tasmania & Victoria, says, “As the head of Tasmania’s largest real estate network, I am thrilled to see some legitimate competition in the online advertising space. Not only is Homely an economically viable online advertising solution, it also provides both local and mainland house hunters with valuable information about suburbs that they may not be familiar with. In current times, when travel is often limited – and at the very least, difficult – that information is priceless.”

Homely Tasmanian launch partners include; Ben Vance (Harcourts Hobart), Colin Miller (Harcourts Hobart), Tony Morrison (Harcourts Launceston, TAS & VIC CEO), Megan Hampton (VIC & TAS Harcourts Trainer), Jeremy Wilkinson (Harcourts Launceston), Heidi Howe (Harcourts St Helens), Andrew Michieletto & Maureen Lacey (Harcourts East Tamar), Tameka Smith (Key2Property Launceston), Harry Coomer (Peterswald for Property Hobart), Caitlin & Jeremy Horder (Spark Property Management Tasmania), Sally Shaw (Property Wise Launceston), Farzin Hesari (Ray White Hobart), Nawwar Alshawi (Ray White Hobart) and Steve Mccann (Ray White Launceston).

The network effect

Homely’s industry partnerships strategy aims to help agencies get the most out of the platform, supporting education and development for agents, as well as sponsoring local industry events and media – notably sponsoring the Harcourts ‘Your Real Estate Show’ – Tassie’s go-to spot for the latest information, insights and inspiration on the region’s real estate market

“I am so impressed with Homely”, says Tameka Smith, Director of Key2property Launceston. “Since increasing our presence on the platform, we are seeing some real traction in our business, but what I love the most is that Homely connects with our community. So, it was a no-brainer to partner with such a brilliant platform that not only works as a tool for our business, but offers so much to our local community. Freddie and Jason have been amazing and super responsive to work with.”

While working more and more closely with Tasmania agencies in the last three months, Homely has seen a 41% increase in all-round performance for the state’s listings – including views, engagements and enquiries – as well as a 16% increase in direct enquiries for Tasmania listings in that three month period.

Homely intends to continue building its presence in Tasmania, committed to growing its network of agency partners throughout the state in the coming months.

“Tasmania is going through a strong growth period – making it a great market for us. Like much of Australia, Tasmania is looking to support Homely as a strong alternative when it comes to marketing property online. It has been incredible to see the uptake and support that we have received from the state’s top agencies,” says Homely’s Head of Industry, David Webb.

About Homely

Homely was founded in 2014 by brothers Jason and Adam Spencer in Melbourne, Australia. Since then, Homely has grown to become a large team of passionate developers, sales managers, account managers, marketers, designers and customer support people across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, WA and South Australia. Homely.com.au is unique in that the portal is not not only ad-free and uncluttered for an optimal experience. It also offers a proprietary suburb and street review service, designed to make it faster, easier and friendlier for buyers and their agents to find the perfect place to call home. A key feature of the platform allows agents themselves to not only list homes, but review streets and suburbs in their local areas. The Homely experience is so much more than buying and selling. It’s about connecting and empowering consumers with the knowledge they need about what life is like in areas they’re thinking about moving to. Homely partners with agents and the real estate industry to deliver an alternative and affordable industry-backed real estate portal. The Homely app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. Learn more about Homely here.
