Reviews of Oaklands Park, SA
"Convenience second to none!"
A suburb that has transformed greatly over the last decade with availability for more home buyers to be close to the action. Marion shopping centre and the handy commute on the train to the City or South is some of the benefits living in this suburb. Quaint corner coffee shops and shops to be found if your adventurous! Gym junkies will love it too...
"Excellent suburb"
Seriously beats the so called best suburbs hands down anyday- Railway Station,Marion shopping centre,Medical Centre, Glenelg & Brighton beaches, The Oaklands Wetlands, Swimming Pools. And has some pretty good schools like the Warradale Primary, Paringa etc closeby. One sore thing is the Housing Trust homes that need to be relocated elsewhere.

- Close to Marion shopping centre..Medical..Swimming centre
- Close to public transport bus and train

"Jewel Street/ Milton street area"
Although most areas in Oaklands park are very welcoming and lovely this particular area (Jewel Street) is awful. The streets feel unsafe at night and are filled with screaming matches or children roaming in the early hours of the morning.
I would also recommend keeping everything inside under lock and key as I have had my bike stolen from my yard.
Great for
- Close to Marion shopping centre..Medical..Swimming centre
- Close to public transport bus and train
Not great for
- Bad neighbours
- Litter on the streets
- Noise throughout the night

Lovely Zone.Would recommend it to anyone.Ginling isn't far from the shopping mall if you are looking for a good meal before the movies or whatever else it is people do at Marion.
So sad you had such a bad experience! Where would you likely move to next? I definitely recommend Elizabeth, Salisbury, Salisbury North, Davoren Park, Parafield Gardens, Para Hills/Para Hills West, Smithfield, Andrews Farm, Craigmore, Blakeview, Pooraka, Salisbury Downs, Paralowie, and all the northern areas past Mawson Lakes. Just keep an eye out for extremely high crime rates, terrible neighbours and abusive locals, very frequent police and helicopter presence, everything closing early, very loud and noisy streets, hoon drivers and dirty and rough streets.
Now I assume you haven't picked up on the fact I was being very sarcastic but truthful. In relation to Oaklands Park and it's surrounds, I highly recommend you check out other suburbs south of Adelaide. They are far nicer, safer and friendlier than the northern suburbs. If you want to write about a bad review of a suburb in a very good side of town, why don't you look at all the bad things your missing out on and move to the sunny Northern suburbs....
