Although there are some good restaurants and bars in Bernal Heights, I don't know if it is one of the better places in San Francisco for singles. Unless you are an older single, with say kids, Bernal Heights. Bernal Heights is known more as an area for young couples with families. (Potrero for young couples.) The Mission is more for singles because it is right in the middle of the action. Most singles who want to live in the city find Bernal a touch on the boring side.
