What's Old Beach like as a suburb?
Old Beach, TAS 7017 is located within the Brighton local government area, part of the Greater Hobart Region in Tasmania.
Just wondering what people's opinions are of Old Beach? It appears pretty close to Hobart, and looks quite nice when looking on Google maps/street view. But have heard that north of Hobart isn't considered overly desirable? I notice it is close to Bridgewater, which seems to have not such a great reputation (no offence to residents).

Hi Mr Fun,
It's actually a really nice suburb - lots of new homes, a mix of young families and retirees and some beautiful water views. Plus the prices are still very reasonable. There isn't a lot of infrastructure there, but you're within an easy drive of Northgate Shopping Centre in Glenorchy...and the City isn't far away either.
Anyway, I hope this helps a bit!
Cheers,
Ant
