"Central to everything"

I like living in Parahills West. Its quiet and starting to be updated with new homes popping up regularly.
It is central to the city, Mawson Lakes and the expressway to Western Adelaide.
Shopping centers and public transport close by too.

"Boganville"

This suburb was fine over ten years ago.
Its change alot and not in a good way
Full of bogans and junkies.
If you do move there, i would suggest good cctv and fencing.
People like to steal from your front yard. If its not bolted down it will be stolen.
Lots of hoons. You will hear them alot, especially in the evening.

"Noisy"

Having had an investment property in PHW which we lived in for a few months, we found the area extremely noisy because of the hundred of circuits being flown daily from the flying schools at Parafield Airport. Neighbours tend to party a lot and yell all the time. Very bogan and redneck area with hoons driving fast down streets and burning rubber. Not much capital appreciation in real estate. A bit of a rough area. Many shopping centres around with all services.

"Perfect for families"

I have lived in Para Hills West for 2 years now, I have moved from the inner eastern suburbs. What impresses me the most about this area is the community spirit, taking the dog for a walk and having all the neighbours wave of say g'day. Most houses are owner occupier so gardens are well kept and tidy.

Very leafy suburb with a great deal of large established gums and a vast variety of birds. A quiet neighbourhood with many owner occupiers with young familes. Only 15min to the city, walking distance to many different bus routes taking you to the city, train stations, Tea Tree Plaza. There are several local surgeries/dentists, fast food outlets Woolies and Foodland schools footbal/socccer clubs, lawn bowls and a monthly arts and crafts market and childcare all within walking distance. The older houses still have larger size blocks 800m2 plus.

Great for

  • Close to transport
  • Close to city
  • Close to medical facilities

"Love the variety of birds in Gum tree"

I have lived in Booloo Street for 28 years and have never had a problem. We moved to this street for the convenience of the school which my daughter attended from the age of 5 years to her final year in high school. I have had great neighbours over the years and have found people friendly and helpful. The 2 shopping centres are within easy walking distance as are the bus routes one on McIntyre Road and the other on Bridge Road. Signed Irish

Rentals in Para Hills West

"not a perfect place to live."

I have been living in para hills west on Booloo st for over 8 yers. The neighbours are rude. There are P-plater's and hoons who like to speed down the road. My husbands car has been broken into and tools stolen, even our twenty dollar garden lights were stolen. There have been drug busted down the road. I have been wanting to leave this area for a number of years. We are saving money to buy and move to a decent suburb.

Sorry to hear that I have found the suburb to be quite nice since I have been selling there. Its a shame when there is one person on a street who makes it unpleasent for the rest of the residents in the street.

"Holmeswood Court, Para Hills West"

A cul-de-sac street meaning no through traffic - ideal for the kids to ride their bikes or have a run around without worrying about cars speeding through. Walking distance to a high school, primary school and child care centre. Walking distance to McDonalds, Foodland, Video Ezy and the best chicken and pizza shops on Bridge Road. Five minute drive to Woolworths. Buses to the city and buses connecting with Mawson Lakes railway station within walking distance. A park with slides and swings just around the corner, with the local netball courts, cricket/football/soccer fields, lawn bowls and sporting club a short 5 minute drive away. Something for every member of the family, no matter what their age, be it a toddler or a senior citizen!
