Commutes and E-470 Toll Road

What's the commute like if you live in Parker and work in Denver? Is it worth it to use E-470 or is it better to just avoid the toll road? Do you need a pass for the tolls?

During peak travel times there's a lot of traffic and I personally wouldn't commute without using a transponder from the tollway. It can get pricey, but I think it's definitely worth it.
