Hi Paul223,
There is night life right in Plympton! On the Anzac Highway is a pub/bar called The Highway, there were actually names SA's 2012 hotel of the year! They have regular entertainment including 'classic' game nights, live music and great Sunday Sessions. The Highway is within walking distance to most of Plympton!
Other wise you are only 10-15 minutes from Jetty Road, Glenelg which has a great night life and restaurant strips.
