Best Places to Eat in the Presidio
Presidio, California null is located within the San Francisco local government area, part of the San Francisco County Region in undefined.
1. Acre
Organic food. Menu changes daily. They even compost and recycle everything. Quite impressive. A variety of sandwiches and soups are offered daily. Can and bottle beverages, as well as coffee also served. And let's not forget about the home made breads or cookies for dessert.
2. Dish
They offer a daily menu that has daily specials, but otherwise their menu is consistent. Located in the Disney building, this little cafe offers coffee drinks, sandwiches, burritos, hot dishes, homemade cookies, and chips. Priced medium to high priced, it's pretty good.
3. La Terrasse
High priced, but good food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner if you are stuck working late. A casual French brasserie with a California flare. Salads, sandwiches, coffees, but no pastry. That was the only downside so far.
4. The Warming Hut
Located in Crissy Field (close enough) it offers baked goods, grilled sandwiches, soups, fresh fruits and juices, plus coffee drinks. Good for a breakfast too. Reasonably priced.
5. Starbucks
Always a good standby. Located behind the Lucas Arts building. The only problem is they close by 5/5:30pm so if you are working late and need a caffeine jolt, you'll want to get in there before 5pm.

Cool list! I would say more but I just don't know the Presidio that well.
Exactly! I started working there and I was like, "where do you all go for lunch?". There was a website that I found that listed them all and so the list above is just where' I've eaten at and find it good. There are a few more, but I haven't tried them all yet.
Nice! Acre sounds interesting, and I've heard of The Warming Hut. Gotta love the Starbuck's standby...always a good bet.
Dumb question, but what's in the Presidio these days since its been decomissioned and all. (I know that its been like twenty years but I rarely end up in that area. I mostly hang down by the North Beach or farther south.
@NightOwInOrinda. There's not much there except for the Disney Museum - which I hear is great, mostly for adults, not so much children. There's the Presidio Social Club - a restaurant and of course the famous Lucas Arts and ILM studios (which I don't think you can tour, but I'm not sure). It's a great place to go for walks if you live near there rather than trekking all the way over to Golden Gate Park.
The rent is also a bit cheaper there than comparable neighborhoods, I believe, and I'm hearing of more and more young people moving there as a result.
