You may find this link informative - http://www.putnamcountyny.com/realproperty/files/countytowntaxrate.pdf. It is the 2012 Putnam County Tax Rates. Best I can tell, the area designated as the Village of Southeast seems to have the lowest rate. I must admit that I am still trying to figure out what the code NH means. Maybe someone else on this forum will be able to clarify.

Thanks! I saw "H" and "NH" so maybe it refers to "homes" and "new homes"? I don't know why new homes would be taxed at a different rate but it would be interesting to know.
