Rivett, ACT 2611

Having lived in public housing for almost 30 years. I have pretty much seen it all. While I am still in a public housing property now having moved here almost 3 years ago now. This suburb is fantastic. Close to pretty much everything. Quiet and peaceful and great neighbours. Rivett is the best area/suburb I have lived in that I can remember.

I have great neighbors.
There is no traffic.
It has great local gym, a relatively small but busy shopping center close-by with Woolworths and ALDI.
I feel safe & sound there.
People love to take care of their houses and gardens there. Rivett is a leafy suburb with great neighborhood.
It has a quick access to Woden, City, Belconnen, North Canberra and Canberra Airport. They can be accessed via several routes and that makes it easily accessible.It has alternative ways to reach other suburbs or the city without major traffic.
It has great schools (both public and private) nearby. Stromlo High is a great high school with excellent standards of schooling.It is better than the average Canberra high school.
The streets are well-maintained and the parks around are clean and safe.
My house has great mountain view.
It is safe for bicycles riders and pedestrians.
I am not sure about the nightlife, but there are at least couple of clubs nearby, including Hellenic and Southern Cross in Woden.
Prices of the real estate are still affordable, despite the extremely high prices of the neighboring Chapman and Wright and the not-too-far Yarralumla. Rivett and Chapman are virtually the same.
