All the stuff at Golden Gste park is really pretty kid friendly--like the Exploratorium and just the park in general. That King Tut exhibit was really good but I think it's gone now.

This weekend I took my kids to the Lafayette Reservoir and they had a ball just running on the grass and playing. I've been working a lot so I hadn't had a chance to this for a while. I can't think of a better place to take kids in the Lamorinda area--can anyone else?

I'll second you on that. Momma Flower used to take me to the reservoir when I was a kid and even once for summer camp. It is a great little spot.

I have heard that there is a really cool place to take kids on the Berkeley Marina. I don't have any kids myself, but I heard one of the other instructors at the University Talking about it. He said something about some activity called the "Dead Pianos" or something like that.

I've been to the Berkeley Marina but it was before I had kids, I guess, becuase I don't even remember seeing a place like you mention. I will have to look it up.

I used to have friends who would go fly kites at the Marina all the time. Its really great for that.

That's what I know the marina for too. (If you've read the book A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, that's where the narrator takes Toph in that early scene where he's trying to play dad to his brother.)
