Have you got World Cup Fever?
I'm new in town and am wondering where it is good place to watch the World Cup? I would especially like to find out where my fellow Brazilians hang out but anywhere where they show the matches and are friendly to carioca girl like me will do.
Thnx!

I don't know about Brazilians specifically, but I have heard that some of the bars in North Beach will definitely be tuned into Italy and the US matches.
Italy and Brazil are pretty big rivals, but I might give that it try if all else fails.
This is a little bit late but I have heard that the Steps of Rome Cafe in North Beach will be showing the games.
@NightOwl: Thanks anyway. I might try that next time.
Did you end up just staying home for today's match?
Actually, it ended up that some guys in my apartment building were having a World Cup Party so I ended up watching the game there. It was a fun time!
I heard on NPR, that they are transmitting the games on a big screen at city hall.
@IpanemaGirlSF: Where will you be watching your team this morning?
I just watched part of it in my apartment with my roommate before we went to work. Nothing special.
I'm looking forward to the USA game tomorrow, surprisingly. I going to see if I can watch with a friend of mine who is visiting tomorrow.
That sounds like fun. Where are you guys going to watch it?
I don't know. We're going to see a play in some place in Berkeley. So we might go down and find some place where they're playing the game before hand.
I hear Kezar's Pub on Stanyon is showing the games too.
Go Team USA
@NightOwl: Ditto on that. (Yawn.)
Go get 'em!
Ahhhh! Too bad for the United States. A good game though.
A sad day for Brasil. Go Ghanna!
It was a brave effort, but your team seemed to crumble under the pressure of expectations a bit from what I saw of it.
Final World Cup post--though I must admit that I sort of lost interest after Brazil went out. Yesterday though I went and watched the final at a North Beach bar with a bunch of Dutch fans. They were really funny even as thei lost. Well, its off to Brazil in four years--that is going to CRAZY!
