Meeting SF Locals - Any Advice?

Hello SF peeps,

I just discovered this forum and thought it might be a nice place to meet locals in SF. I just moved from North Carolina and am now living in Sunset. Keep you're fingers crossed for me that I don't drown in this big city...it very daunting :)

Does anyone have any advice for a newcomer? Or if you just wanna chat, i'd love to talk to some locals.

hey there pottsleet,

I'm kinda new to SF myself (been here about 5 months) so if you wanna know catch up for a coffee i'd be glad to! Anyways, SF can be a bit daunting, but totally depends on where you come from. I lived in London previously before SF so this doens't seem too "go go go". Not sure if you have been to London but living there for the past couple of years really opened my eyes as to what a busy lifestyle is...and the drinking. People there drink EVERY night of the week...im not kidding. It's just the London way.

Anyways, enough ranting about that...advice for you would be to get invovled with your co-workers, and go out a lot. If you aren't into that you can always jump online like here and meet people. Also community groups are a good idea, you can find heaps online.

One final thing - GET OUT A LOT!! San Francisco is a very social city, so make sure get social yourself.
