Prop 8 Decision Reversed

I'm glad, as are most Californians I am sure, but one overturned proposition is far from equal rights for all. Let's see what kind of momentum this generates...

Yeah, I worry that the whole thing might backfire in the long run if it makes to the Supreme Court. I fear the whole thing could turn into something like the Dread Scott decision, where they just go backwards instead of forwards. It's definitely a high stakes sort of turn of events now--might have been better to just wait it out.
Good link!
I agree with all comments. Hardly equal rights for all but definitely a start. I too hope that if it does make it to the Supreme Court that it gets passed and doesn't backfire. But the other thing is that I think that it HAS to go to the Supreme Court or we will be overturning this every election period in every state. The Supreme Court is the only place where if it gets there, and gets passed, we won't have to waste money on propositions.
I hear you on that. We definitely do too many propositions in this state. It is definitely part of the reason why everything is so screwed up at the capitol.
