Prove PETA Wrong--Favorite Veggie Restaurant

According to PETA, SF is only rank 7 as far as vegetarian restaurants are concerned. So I wondered what people thought about and what are the best restaurants to get vegetarian cuisine in your opinion.

REALLY?? That is surprising. Half of the people I know here are vegetarian. I'm new to the area and need more places as well. Do you have any spots in Berkeley, considering that is the place where you live?

There's the one place in the Mission that makes the best vegetarian burritos I've ever had, but I forget what it's called and they are probably not truly vegetarian, in any case. My favorite veggie restaurant that I have found in California so far is Sunflower in Fair Oaks, which probably doesn't help on here two much.

I am not a vegatarian, but my wife really liked Greens in Fort Mason. It has a great view of the Marina but is far too pricey for my wallet. I remember that it was just the two of us and we ended up spending more than $70.

@NightOwlnOrinda - I love Greens. So yummy.

When they say vegetarian do they mean full-on vegan?

Knowing PETA, I'm sure they mean full on Vegan--no eggs or milk or non-soy cheese.
