What's Up With This Weather?

What's deal with this weather? It seems likes its rained almost every other day and now we got snow in the Sierra? Is this global warming?

I was thinking more along the lines of Global Warming. Maybe it will flood this entire area before it is all over. I heard this Public radio report a while back that said the dams just north of us by the 80 corridor are inadaquate and if every we should get some really severe weather it could all flood up there and cause Katrina like damage.

Just when we thought it was going to start warming up, we got a little bit of cool, windy streak again..

Is this really normal? I am from Connecticut, and people keep telling me that this is unusual. It's July. I went around wearing a jacket all day, indoors and out.

It got up to 98 in my hometown of West Hartford, CT, yesterday. Something is wrong with this picture...right?

I was speaking to a professor fromt the Statistics department where I work and he was telling me that the weather we have been have is not statistically unusual. I guess he has been doing a tracking study of the weather since about 1912 and he says he hasn't seen much of sign of climate change in the data. So maybe it is just the usual strange Bay Area Weather.

Statistics or not, I've lived here all my life and it sure seems like we've had an unusual amount of cold weather this summer. It may not be a sign of global climate change but it is a little weird that it shoud occur now.

Well, the area is one giant pocket of microclimates. I don't quite get it, but it's a relief to hear that the Bay Area is not always this cold in the summer - it flat-out doesn't makes sense!

Alright, that's enought with the heat already--give me back the weirdly cold weather.

Okay, I was near Ocean Beach all day and it felt like record cold - practically winter! There's no way it got over 50. Does it ever warm up over there? Is it true that summer starts in the fall? I am tired of hearing my Connecticut friends "gloat" about the heat...although I suppose I could solve the problem by driving over to the other side of the bay :/

We usually get a hot streak in September. This is really an unusually cold summer though. I have been here all my life and I keep expecting to get the usual warm streak that we have around now but it doesn'f feel like it is going to come this time around.

All my friends from around here think it is way outside of the norm too. VERY, VERY STRANGE!
