"Really nice beach village feel"

Lovely, laid back suburb. Very safe. Mix of families and young couples/singles due to increasing apartment presence. Beautiful beach walks and an easy 20 mins into the city by train. Great area if you love health and fitness. Only downer is all the ugly apartments around 200ish bay road but it’s still safe just ugly looking with lots of small apartments built for profit. Other areas are fine. If you live in Sandy you are very lucky indeed. No hesitation in recommending it but it is quite $$$ if you can afford to buy here you will love it.

"Best beach and First and Last stop on Sandringham Train Line!"

Sandringham has the best beach located at the bottom of the stairs at Royal Ave - it feels a little like Italy surrounded by the steep cliff faces! The water is clean and it's not as busy as Half Moon beach down the road. If you commute to the CBD, then you have the benefit of being the first station so you are always guaranteed a seat to work and on the way home. It is more affordable than Hampton and Brighton and families love living in this suburb because of its unique village feel. There are some great cafes such as Port of Call and the Japanese restaurant Y14 is to die for!!

"Lovely small town, fabulous location"

Sandringham village has great eateries, from small cafes to great pubs. The location and transport links to cbd are brill. Schools and medical facilities top notch. The beach at half moon bay is fantastic. Yes can be described as quiet, however after a busy day in cbd or away travelling Sandringham is a fabulous place for both young and old. And last but not least as a regular visitor from the uk , inhave always found the people to be very friendly.

"Family living at its best. Parks, quiet roads..."

Great village feel, cafes galore. No real thru traffic except locals. End of trainline so always a seat. Short rode to Prahran, Richmond or City for great shopping, resturants or entertainment. Trains run along beach. Fantastic parks, kids and dogs. Dog beachs also. Great local schools, public and private close by. Kinders, child care and sports centre. Leafy streets and beach on your door step.
Bike, running, walking paths. Great small local hospital. Good maternity ward. Great medical clinics. Southland very close. It does have a relaxed holiday feel.

"A little piece of heaven 10km from CBD"

Whats not to love about Sandringham. The beach at your doorstep. A 27 minute train ride to the city. Gourmet eateries, cafes and a wonderful village shopping centre. Sandringham is a fantastic place to raise a family with great local schools both public and private. Lots of parks and everything in walking distance. This suburb has real character with the majority of homes retaining their original features and pastel coloured concrete boxes far and few between. Lots of trees and bird life and vibrant local community.

No need for a holiday house when you live in Sandringham - you can be on holidays all year round.

"A good area to get into"

A great beach suburb not too far down the coast to be a huge hassle to get to the city. The area is well serviced by public transport so if you need to commute its great.
There are some good shops in the area to give you the essentials and major shopping centres like Southland aren't far away for everything else.
The beach is right there so get down there and soak up the sun. Nothing beat a walk along the beach and here you can do it when you want.
Health facilities are close by, but that’s not surprising seeing there are a lot of older people in the area. But that also means its a perfect place for young families to come in, revitalise the area and live it up in a great area.
There are schools close by as well as kindergartens.
