Another Fun Option
The rides are a little chintzy and the crowds are, well, crowded, but there are some fun classics in there. Is it worth more than a dollar per ride? Probably not. Is it worth the dollar a pop? Absolutely.

The BoardWalk is great. I haven't been in years but Moma Flower used to take me there at least once every summer. And for Movie Trivia Buffs (why are they called "buffs"?) you should know that it is where the bad guy gets it at the end of that Dirty Harry movie, Sudden Impact.
I agree with @Flowergirl. The boardwalk is so much fun, especially for couples or people with kids.
My kids have been seeing commercials for it and begging me to go all summer. I might have to pack 'em up and take them before school starts again.
It's definitely kid-friendly and a fun summer option, and the rides range the gambit from gentle merry-go-rounds to wooden roller coasters that may make you question your sanity. The Monday/Tuesday night option is definitely cost-effective, although I haven't been outside of this window, so I don't know what it does to the crowds by comparison. You'll wait in line some, but you only pay for the rides that you use which makes it a more affordable option than traditional amusement parks.

We are planning to go tomorrow so when I get back I will post on how it went. I am looking forward to it.
Sweet! Looking forward to hearing about it...don't park across the river or you'll have to cross back over the train tracks with the druggies.
We ended up not going. It was kind of cold this morning and we heard it was even colder along the coast so we sort of flaked. Maybe next week.
Pooooor Owl: I don't really have a comment other than you really need to get out more, but I love saying Poooor Owl--makes me feel like I am in Winnie the Pooh.
