I visited a friend living in an larger apartment block there last week. She is mid 30's and could live elsewhere - she is a nurse, but she likes the idea of being near the beach. She has no attachments so the size of a house or no garden doesn't matter to her. She just couldn't really afford to live near the beach in that area, if not for the flat. I think there seems to be a good range of people who choose to live there. It isn't always about money, sometimes just the convenience. The young couple I spoke to while I was walking in had just been out riding their bikes along the beach path. They seemed nice enough!
