"My review"

I've been robbed once here, never before. It's overall pretty nice, but Brian is here.

"Great place with amazing schools and a great sense of community. So close to M1 that you are only 30 mins from CBD and 40 mins to Southport. Couldnt imagine living anywhere else"

"Close to nature and the city."

This suburb is just beautiful. We’ve had green tree frogs, tawny frogmouths and scrub turkeys in our yard. The large eucalyptus trees with rolling hills make this suburb beautiful. People complain about some driveways (steep), you get used to them. Great for raising kids as you actually get a yard. Close to shops (hyperdome) and the m1 Gold Coast is 35 minute drive or so. Brisbane on a good day is 30 minutes. We are so pleased we moved here. There are some wonderful cafes around and eateries. Cinema is close by too. We couldn’t believe how quiet it is here compared to our old place. Would definitely recommend the area for people to move to. Great walking tracks and for those who don’t mind hill walks, there are plenty of those. I think they should’ve called it Shailer Hills rather than Shailer Park though. It would’ve been more accurate. Our neighbours are all friendly and keep watch of each other’s place this makes it quite safe. The public transport isn’t amazing 45 mins or so by bus from the hyperdome. There is pretty much no nightlife unless hyperdome has something on. People take pride in there homes and gardens generally.

"Such a gorgeous suburb"

I think they should rename it shailer hills as the area is just beautiful. Rolling hills, scenery, big gum trees, no piddly token trees as seen in new housing estates. I love the area. Not all that walkable with a pram unless your quite fit and depends where your house is. We lived in Beenleigh previously and this suburb trumps that by far. Friendly neighbours close to schools and big shopping centres. Great for anyone. Unless you want a nightlife. Safe, our neighbours keep an eye on our place while we’re out or away.

Rentals in Shailer Park

"Fantastic suburb, great for families"

Moved with young family to Shailer Park recently. A great suburb with lovely houses and spacious well kept gardens. Fantastic views, stunning sunsets and beautiful birdsongs. Good blend of elderly residents and families, everyone seems friendly. Easy commute to either GC or the city (can easily half the commute to the city if avoid the highway and cut through to 8 mile plains). Some fantastic architectural homes have recently or are being built throughout the suburb, taking full advantage of the views and tranquil surroundings.

"Enjoy your lifestyle here... Peaceful family suburb"

What a beautiful quite suburb high in hills with stunning views of the valley....also some of the best schools and close to all amenities. Amazing location placed in midway of gold coast and city. Its a perfect family suburb. Daisy hill conservation forest is just beside, its lovely to wake up to the sound of birds early morning and relax in the cool breeze in the evenings.

"Shailer Park is undoubtedly Logans Gem of all Gems"

I grew up in Shailer Park since we moved from Brisbane when i was in early Primary School since then i have never lived in any better suburb and i now live in other areas renting i still like Shailer Park the best great for all things country vibe with huge park in center for walking your pets friendly neighbors, calm laid back surroundings but yet has the cream of the crop when comes to shopping with the Hyperdome making Shailer Park it's home never really have to worry about the so called logan bogan's because Shailer Park is the top class of logan city so safe you won't feel insecure when it comes to security.

"A suburb from the old days"

The best part I like about Shailer Park is that it is an old suburb with old values - small houses with big backyards. A lot of the houses are the old post war houses on concrete pillars with the potential to expand by building underneath. There is a huge park that runs through the centre of the suburb providing barbeques, playgounds, exercise equipment and off-leash dog areas. I have no children yet so can't comment about the schools but from what I've heard, there are a few to choose from in the area, each with their own culture. The hyperdome is a stones throw away boasting an array of shops for retail therapy. There is also a home centre providing you with all your renovating needs. The piazza in the Hyperdome contains a number of restaurants, bars and cinemas.

"Shailer Park - a great place to live"

Shailer Park has emerged from its early beginnings as a sleepy suburb to a more cosmopolitan suburb that has a range of great schools - private (Calvery Christian College, Chisolm, JPC, Kimberly College) and public (Shailer Park and Springwood) all within a 5kms radius, all serviced by regular bus routes. Shopping, restaurants, cinema and library all within the Hyperdome complex.
New development in areas around Kimberley Dve, Parkview Cres, and Plantain Rds in the last 7 years continue to push median house prices higher that the Logan City average.
