Depends on your budget but the standout suburbs in Melbourne for families are Camberwell, Hawthorn, Kew, Balwyn and Surrey Hills. These are all expensive suburbs though (because everyone wants suburbs good for families, schools and parks), so you might want to look a little further out to get bang for buck.
