Looking for a place to return to Aus in a year.

Originally from Melb, but have been living and working in Malaysia for the last 3 years. Looking for a community feel with a multicultural feel. Swimming clubs, netball and not far from good beaches. Looking for good public schools, both Secondary and Primary. Wanting to have easy access to airports and access to musicals and theatre shows. Is Southport ticking most boxes? Or do you know any other areas I should consider researching? TIA
