Reviews of Aspley, QLD
"Everything you need in one suburb!!"
I was totally surprised just how convenient it is to live in Aspley, had concerns when first moving to the suburb about distance from the city but with the Hypermarket, Homemaker hub and Chermside Westfield 5 mins away, the Hornets AFL club, the Leugues club and the Aspley hotel plus just above every other amenity you can think of, Aspley really has everything you could need in one suburb!!

"Family Friendly Suburb with Lots on Offer!"
I have worked in Aspley selling houses for 17 years and have always found it very easy to talk about how great it is to live here to prospective buyers. Firstly, we have fantastic schools. There are 3 primary schools ; Aspley Primary, Aspley East Primary, St Dympnas Catholic Primary School and for older kids, there's Aspley High School and St Pauls Anglican School is a popular choice also. We have loads of shops to choose from including Aspley Hypermarket which has Kmart, Aldi, Coles and Woolies plus the Aspley Village Shopping Centre, Aspley Homemaker Centre and close by is Chermside Shopping Centre boasting a great dining precinct and Chermside Market Place.
The railway line is a stones throw away and we have great retirement villages and senior living, as well as a great mix of apartments, units, villas, townhouses and a variety of high-set homes, renovated homes and new homes. Several streets in Aspley have lovely city views and tree-lined streets, making it a great place to live.

"Ugly but nice"
Most of Aspley is suburban homes, the streets all coming off main roads. Traffic is dense during peak hour and it takes half the commute time lining up to leave the suburb.
There is a good bus system at the hypermarket and most of what you need is around the corner with your more major retailers a hop-skip over at Chermside.
The area is packed with familes of all nationalities, kids on bikes in cul-de-sac roads, people walking dogs, quiet neighbourhoods with friendly neighbours.
I've heard of a few teens trying to break into cars, and we installed a security camera but Im sure petty crime is common throughout Brisbane.
It's an ugly place. All the homes packed ontop of each other and jungles of streets and roads connecting, but it has a great community spirit and so we're pretty happy here.
The rent isn't too bad for the size home you get. If you're lucky enough to get an application in, grab it.

"Family haven"
The convenience is amazing, and the people are friendly. We have settled and enjoyed our 7 years in Aspley so far - it is the perfect location to raise a family. NBN connection is excellent, and working from home has been seamless. The kids have friends and other families all around.

"Convenient, friendly, green, close to everything"
We moved to Aspley one year ago and this has been such a good decision. We have all the conveniences nearby, the massive Marchant Park, heaps of shopping options, restraunts, cafes, medical centres, bus terminus and inspite of all these amenities you can live on a good sized block.

"Walkability, so close to everything!"
Friendly neighbourhood with established gardens. Quite hilly with views over Chermside, Ckayfield to the city. We walk/ride everywhere - Westfield Chermside, Aspley village, marchant Park, kid space, bus stops. We are so lucky to live in such a convenient area.

"Great Place to Live - Has Everything!"
Great safe suburb in a very family orientated neighbouhood. Three public schools and two Catholic schools, Hypermarket and Aspley Village amongst many parks and activities. Also, a number of public transport options and easy access to sunshine coast via Gympie Rd or Gold Coast via Gateway Bridge.

"What more could you want?"
Having young children and also a dog to walk, there are numerous choices for parks/playgrounds close by. There is a lovely quiet playground in Rainbow Lorikeet Park, Kidspace on Murphy Road is awesome, and the Playground off Maundrell Terrace not only has a great area for children, but a huge dog off leash area, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. I think we're pretty lucky......
