Reviews of Curtin, ACT
"Part of the Premier Sattelite City Development"
Curtin is located 7 kms south west of Canberra. It was part of the development of the first satellite city apart from Central Canberra. It has a small shopping centre with a major supermarket and all of the essential services including a number of restaurants and cafes. The curiosity of the area is the Curtin Milk Bar which is the longest running cafe in the area. It is a throw back to another time. There is also a local scouting group. Curtin came under attack during the Canberra bushfires in 2003 and a number of properties were distroyed. However, its bushy character make it a desirable place to raise a family.
