Reviews of Evanston Park, SA
"Safe, quiet, family friendly place to live"
I’ve lived on the Trinity/Starplex side of Evanston Park for 12yrs now and have never had any problems whatsoever.
It’s mainly families and retirees who live here, the neighbourhood is quiet, there’s always people out walking their dogs who will say Hi as they pass you by.
Although we have the school and starplex there isn’t really anything to attract or keep any riff raff hanging around so the streets are quite safe and the crime rate is low .
Another big advantage is that it’s an older housing estate so you can still purchase a home with a good sized yard, your neighbours house is not sitting right next to yours and the streets are wide enough to park cars on them without blocking traffic.
There is definitely more of a homely street/neighbourhood community atmosphere about it than the cold new estates with no backyards, no gardens, no eaves, narrow streets and townhouses/apartments scattered throughout that they are building everywhere now.
If your Aussie dream has a backyard with a community feel to your streets then Evanston Park is definitely worth a consideration.

"Evanston Park - Theres no better place to live"
Evanston Park is one of the finest suburbs in Gawler with its balance of parks, walking trails, greenery, shops and schools the atmosphere is relaxing and family orientated.
Evanston Park really does have it all with the new Gawler Green shopping center across the road offering a Coles supermarket, butcher, seafood, news agency, cafes, subway restaurant and a gym they have you covered.
Schooling is in abundance with the prestigious Trinity Collage located in or the new Gawler and District R - 12 public super school the options are endless.
If your looking to retire to a retirement Village then The Pines is for you offering your own gated community.

"Sanctuary in the North"
Evanston Park is great place to bring up a family. It has few of the problems of the inner northern suburbs. It has more of a country atmosphere including those of country values. It would be a good place for a tree change or for a retirement retreat.
