"Why I Love Living in Gawler East – And Why It’s Booming"

As someone who lives in Gawler East, I’ve seen firsthand how much this area has grown—especially in Springwood. When we first moved here, it already had a great community feel, but in just the past couple of years, house prices have surged, and it’s easy to see why.

Springwood has become a sought-after location for families, professionals, and investors alike. The demand for homes has skyrocketed, with new builds popping up everywhere, and property values climbing steadily. With more people looking to move here, it’s not surprising that house prices in the estate have increased significantly.

A big part of this growth is the infrastructure and amenities that continue to develop. The Gawler East Link Road has made commuting so much easier, cutting down travel time and making the area even more attractive. We also have parks, walking trails, and future retail developments that add to the lifestyle appeal.

As a family living in Gawler East, we couldn’t have picked a better place to call home. The community feel, open spaces, make it an ideal spot for raising kids. We moved here for the balance—close enough to the city for work but with the peaceful lifestyle of a family-friendly suburb.

"Gawler East is a perfect blend of community and convenience"

I have been living in Springwood Estate in Gawler East for the last 1.5 years. It has been a fantastic experience. The community feels welcoming, with great local amenities, café, and the childcare. I love the balance between modern conveniences and the peaceful natural surroundings—there are plenty of parks, walking trails, and open spaces to enjoy. My elder one goes to the Gawler East primary school and it's been fantastic learning experience for him.

The Gawler East Link Road makes commuting easy to the CBD. The neighborhood feels safe and family-friendly. Overall, it's a great place to live if you want a mix of nature, community, and convenience!

Gawler East has the best of both worlds being a few minutes drive from the Barossa, 2 minutes drive to Gawler and only 10 minutes from the large shopping centre of Munno Parra.
The main street of Gawler is a lovely place to shop. Many of the buildings are heritage listed. There are many retail outlets to choose from as well as great places to dine in. Gawler has 3 supermarkets so we are spoilt for choice. The area is serviced well with several schools both public and private within minutes of each other as well as a Cinema, hospital, fire service and police.
The people are friendly. It's lovely to go for a walk and have people say hello. Conlea Park is fantastic with bike tracks, swings, nature walks, bbq's and even a free tennis court!
There are many established trees throughout the area which are home to several species of birds. There's nothing like waking up to the sound of birds singing :)

"A relaxed and quiet spot for family living"

Situated on the hill to the immediate east of the old main street of Gawler, Gawler East is a lovely residential suburb set slightly to one side from the hustle and bustle of central Gawler.

Accessing the main shopping areas of Gawler is just a five minute drive. You also have the added convenience of a small collection of shops, which are handy enough in case you need a carton of milk or newspaper on the weekend.

Gawler East has a couple of primary schools, and the high schools of Trinity College and Gawler High School are just a short bus ride away. There a lots of facilities in the surrounding area, including ballet schools, the Gawler swimming pool and the huge Starplex complex at Trinity College.

It is a lovely and quiet area for family living, with all of the facilities of the main town of Gawler just a short drive away.
