Reviews of Hackham, SA
"An underrated gem"
Hackham is a great little suburb in the southern suburbs. Its less than 45 minutes to the city. 10-15 minutes to either McLaren Vale or the beach. There is a lot to like about Hackham and to buy a house here is a great option as its extremely affordable. This suburb would be a great option for first home buyers. There is a lot to like about Hackham and some of them are the parks are great for kids and somewhere to take your family dog. There are lots of place to eat ranging from pubs, restaurants, cafes and bakeries. There are lots of shops ranging from grocery stores to hairdressers and much more. To sum Hackham up, it is a very underrated suburb and anyone would be proud to live here!

"Happy Hackham"
Hackham is a great place to live, with prices starting from around $200,000 for a unit through to $500,000 for a larger home on a big block. Only moments to the updated Colonnades Shopping Centre, a great selection of high quality schools, kindergarten and child care facilities, the Southern Exrpessway makes a quick trip to McLaren Vale with 43 minute trip into the city centre, and of course a short 13 minute trip to our fabulous southern beaches. The median house price as at August 2011 sits at $255,000 with 75% of homes being owner occupied.

Hackham West, Huntfield Heights, Seaford and Seaford Rise are all on the other side of the main road.
I purchased in Hackham initially for an investment, but ended up living there for 4 years. As I'd moved from interstate, I had heard how bad Hackham was and was wanted to have the monitored alarms and everything.... but it's been fantastic. Haven't had a single issue and now that I've moved away, I'm actually missing it!
I noticed "oigevay" that you didnt actaully mention "Hackham" I had lived on and of in this area for 25 yrs, when i was ready to buy a home for my family this was the area i went looking in. I agree "kymmie13" they are on the other side of south road, and that does make a differnce.
In 2010 Neighbourhood Policing Teams were implemented at Hackham West, Huntfield Heights, Seaford and Seaford Rise in the south. Research the crime stats bofore moving into that area - its dodgy..
