"Great suburb very handy to everything!"

Newmarket is so close to EVERYTHING! Close to the Sunshine Coast, sooo close to the City centre, close to airport, lots of shopping options especially with Ashgrove next door, close to Kelvin Grove for students, lots of playgroups in the area, lots of good Doctors and dentists, libraries very close by (Grange and Ashgrove), childcare centers, I could go on. Extremely convenient, good neighbours overall, no loud parties, just lots of gardening!

"Happy Resident"

Newmarket is great suburb for all ages. The parklands, games fields and bike/walking paths make it perfect for kids, families and anyone who wants to keep fit. As such, many sports are offered to both kids and adults.
The schools are excellent. Public transport is readily available. The Village has everything you’ll need in a local shopping centre. Traffic is like everywhere - busy at peak times on thoroughfares, quiet at off peak. In my experience, neighbours look out for each other in Newmarket.

"Inner City Dream with Great Schools"

The inner north suburb of Newmarket has gentrified over recent years, bringing a plethora of positives for residents. Located about five kilometres from the central city, Newmarket scores strongly for culture, cafes and retail. The suburb is also considered highly walkable, scoring very highly in that category. The best thing is the Kelvin Grove School Catchment.

"great access to CBD, parks, cycle ways and shops/cafes"

Newmarket is a quiet suburb which has tremendous parks alongside the stream leading in to Breakfast Creek....great walks and cycle tracks.
Th suburb is close to CBD, hospital, QUT campus, Victoria Park golf course and well serviced by buses.
It has many cafes/restaurants as well as cinemas, shopping mall and pub.
It is close to schools and the highly acclaimed Kelvin Grove High School.
A great secret !!

"100% would recommend"

I’ve lived in Newmarket for the past 5 years and could not recommend the area enough!! A great location for any age bracket. Close to the city and plenty of restaurants nearby. (Your UberEats options are endless!) It’s a very safe area, day or night. And there’s great public transport into the city via train or bus.
Honestly, the only downfall is that I can’t afford to buy my own place here because all of these fabulous reasons above making the neighbourhood out of my price range 😂 But if I could, I would!

"Used to live there but had to move out"

Can be a transient neighbourhood with some residents who don't care too much for their properties, not the safest place either. We used to love it but decided to move out 2 years ago.

"Has changed - for the worse"

I have lived in Newmarket for 15 years and it was such a well located unpretentious suburb but now the residents are desperate to make this an upmarket "try hard" suburb. Traffic has also become a massive problem. We are looking to move in 12 months.

"The best suburb in Brisbane!"

So close to everything and so beautiful. I've lived in numerous suburbs of Brisbane, but Newmarket takes the cake. The most quaint and quiet suburb I have lived in. Everyone is friendly. Really close to public transport which goes all through the night.

Plus, if you go down certain streets, you get an amazing view of the city!
