Reviews of Seaview Downs, SA
"20 mins into the City yet miles away from the hassle"
Space, dont get caught up by the fact that living in the city gives you access to everything like nightlife, restaurants and activities. Living in this area has it as well without the hassles. Kids have space to run around and meet new friends and you can walk the dog without fear of the Strata knowing you have a pet.
With Marion Centre just down the road with a Community Library, Absolutely great Swim centre and Gym with all the parking you need it makes easy to live the life you want. The numerous pubs like the Holdy, Seacliff and Vic Hotel each having a different flavour will defiantely give you the nightlife your after.
And in the summer, when you can head to Seacliff or Brighton and swim at the cleanest metro beach that Adelaide has to offer, when the kids can snorkel off the beach at Kingston Park and you can take your Kayak and paddle to Glenelg and beyond should you wish. Even walking the foreshore from Seacliff to Hallet Cove is a great activity on a beautiful day.
Living in the area is not just about a house, its a lifestyle change that you need.

Yeah, but its not 20 minutes into the city! Its 40-60 minutes.
No its 20 mins from the City, just not in peak hour traffic. I live next to Brighton rd - Seacombe Rd and driving home at night from work after 7pm is not usually more than 20 mins. If you leave early from home like 7 - 7:15am you beat the traffic in as well. You can live in Mitcham which is 7klms out of the city and it will take you 40mins during peak hour.

"A great suburb with a friendly community spirit."
Seaview Downs is a great location, close to all facilities, good transport links, a short drive to Westfield Marion, Flinders Uni, Flinders Medical Centre, the new Marion swimming centre. A 5 minute drive to beautiful Seacliff beach which has life saver patrolled safe swimming and easy access to the Brighton and Seacliff Yacht club for those who love to sail or would like to learn. The suburb has its own kindergarten and a primary school with around 250 students, the school sits on the top of the hill and has great facilities and has been recently upgraded with a new hall. There is a variety of housing stock, most on large blocks, the houses are very affordable and the suburb offers a safe, quiet haven tucked away on the side of the hill offering fantastic views of the city and beach.

"Best views in Adelaide"
Spectacular views up the gulf, of Brighton Jetty, Glenelg, Adelaide Airport, Adelaide CBD and southern suburbs and on a clear day the view is so good, that with a telescope you can see the farmland far north of Adelaide. See shipping movements up and down the gulf, aircraft take off and land and listen to the airport with your radio scanner. See fireworks displays right across the city. The views are magnificent. At night the city lights will hold you spellbound. Best views in Adelaide from the top of Morphett Road Seaview Downs. Million dollar views and worth every penny.

"A nice green area at the base of the hill"
Seaview Downs is a nice are. Its not far from Marion, it’s at the base of the hill heading up to more Southern Suburbs, and there really is no through traffic.
Marion is very close making shopping easy although there are other shops around you can use.
It is not far from the beach which makes it a good spot for beach lovers. The streets a tree lined and there are some lovely parks with some good sized gums.
With ti being so close to Marion its easy to get out for a night or have a meal. Marion has all the shops you could need as well.
Getting to the city is pretty easy but if your back from the main streets there can be a bit of a walk through to the bus stops.
There are some older timber homes which aren’t attractive but they are serviceable and the blocks are well maintained which is a big plus compared to other areas with similar homes.
