"A quiet town with plenty of sunshine built along the Murray River."
Waikerie is situated under two hours East of Adelaide. It's location, climate and access to the Murray River has proven attractive to retirees that want to build a base from which they can plan annual pilgrimages to all corners of Australia. Low property prices has meant they can sell up and purchase similar properties and still keep a small nest egg. Seasonal work is available at many of its horticultural properties and wineries. Day trips to the Barossa and Clare valley's are common place.
