Is the Chevron Renaissance Building in Surfers Paradise a good building to live in permanently?

I'm looking into buying an apartment in the Chevron Renaissance and wondering if there is anything wrong with the building? I imagine it gets very busy with holiday rentals?

I have never lived in Chevron Renaissance permanently however while on Holiday from in the Gold Coast from Perth myself and my family stayed there for a week which was a great experience as holiday accommodation.

A few years later I moved to the Gold Coast and ended up working in the offices in Chevron Renaissance for a couple of years and got to experience it from a different point of view.

The facilities in the building are great however I would caution that in peak holiday times & schoolies weeks be prepared for a little bit of chaos in the building. Other than that it's a great location if you want to be in the thick of things in Surfers Paradise, it is close to everything.

I've lived in it a couple of times. It used to be great, but now the body corporate is toxic and I haven't found a single tenant or owner that hasn't had issues over silly things. It appears the chair person is a bully and singles people out and seems to have a clique that vote in her favour. As an owner of a few units, I have tried numerous times to go to Body Corporate meetings, but never heard back. They have gone through 3 strata companies inside of a couple of years. For me that spoils living in Chevron Renaissance and why I wouldn't recommend it. Sad really as it is a great building other than that, I really love it as it has character and the apartments can be personalised.

I live there now and between the constant parking issues, the ongoing mechanical issues with the elevators and the overall horrendous security experiences, we’re looking to get the hell out of there asap
