"Rural Residential Living"

I grew up in Tamborine. Family moved to the area in '89'. With two kids of my own now, it is a beautiful place to raise children and lots to do in the Scenic Rim region. Great schools, friendly and welcoming community.

"Love living local!"

I have lived in Tamborine for the last 8 years and loved every moment!
The things that stand out most for me are the friendly and welcoming locals, and the rural country feel to this ever growing town.
My husband and I were drawn to Tamborine for it's locality and abundance of wildlife. There was no going back for us now that we have a taste for the country lifestyle.

"Rural living close to it all"

A beautiful part of the Scenic Rim tucked away in the Gold Coast Hinterland. Has the best of both worlds with pleasant rural living on large blocks among greenery and wildlife, while being well within reach of Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

"Family Friendly Suburb!"

Growing up with the Scenic rim on our doorstep, Tamborine has been the highlight of many weekends well spent in the area. Country markets, families, bushwalks/hikes, parks, events, and quality education would have to be some of the key draw points I think of when discussing Tamborine. Being only 35min to the Gold Coast and around 50min to Brisbane it is a perfect little retreat away from the hustle of the busy cities.

So many attractions as you enter Tamborine mountain worthy of at least a day trip if you're from out of the area.

"Stunning picturesque area"

Tamborine and the mountain is a lovely picturesque area to live and work. We many many properties throughout the area, anyone visiting must head up the mountain and check out the coffee and shopping at Gallery walk. Located 50 minutes from Brisbane or 50 minutes to the Gold Coast to get to enjoy the best of both worlds :)

Rentals in Tamborine

"Small country town living yet still close enough to beaches, major cities and everything you could need."

I love coming home every day after work. As soon as I drive into Tamborine I feel relaxed, stress free and warm inside. The area has a very homely feel about it. People still wave to you as you drive by, drivers are still courteous as there is no need for hurrying or pushing in. Hardly any trafic anyway, so driving around is quick and stress free. The lush, green surrounds make you feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere when you are actualy only a short drive from everywhere. The locals are friendly, helpful and willing to give up their time to lend a hand. No hustle or bustle. Connecting roads to anywhere you need to go are plentiful and usualy quiet. The chance to own your very own special little piece of Australia with privacy, seclusion and green space. Have a coffee on the back deck and watch the ducks, kangaroos, koalas, horses, cows, alpacas, all sorts of wildlife wander around. There is no other place like it and the fact that acreage properties are still reasonably priced means that future growth is almost assured. Love it here, not going anywhere...

Great for

  • Quiet & relaxed. Friendly neighbours and locals.
  • Great large blocks of land still affordable.
  • Close to everything yet far enough away.

Not great for

  • Needs its own local shopping centre
  • Cafes, restaurants and take-aways needed

"Safe, green and spacious"

Great space for horses, bikes, truck or what ever you need to store. Neighbours are freindly yet not obtrusive. The local pub is a hoot. we are situated half way between the gold coast and brisvegus. it has been left mostly larger blocks, no boxes here because many many years ago they planned to make the area into a dam. that keep the prices down and keep the place very very affordable. I live here and love it. GREAT PLACE TO BRING UP KIDS. dams, cubbies, cows, chicken, dirt and grime...... my boys love it

"Have the best of both worlds here"

Tamborine is a great place to live. Located 50 minutes from Brisbane or 50 minutes to the Gold Coast so you can go there but you can have the great rural lifestyle here! With all major facilities just 15-20 minutes from your door you can relax and enjoy living. People move here so they can have room for their kids to run, play, ride or just be kids. Make the move, I did six years ago and it was the best decision our family made.

"Tamborine Village - small place with a great pub for families and visitors."

Tamborine Village is about a 30 minute drive west of Helensvale on the Gold Coast. The area is either farmland or bush with many rural properties there. Strangely enough Tamborine Village is at the foot of Tamborine Mountain. Most people here are locals and the only shopping is a grain and feed type store that doubles as a hardware store, a real estate agents and a general store for all your basic need. This store also has video hire and has petrol pumps at the front. About a km or so from this shop, heading towards Mt Tamborine is a great pub called the Bearded Dragon. They serve some great meals, cold refreshments outside are which has play equipment for the kids and often has Cane toad Racing. This pub prides itself as being the only pub in the area with NO poker machines. Tamborine Village is an interesting place to stop, close to Mt Tamborine and also Thunderbird Park.
