How bad is east thornlie? We are looking to buy on Croosford St, there is mixed views

I don't see any difference between West and East, I bought in East and I think it depends more on the street, West closer to Canning Vale used to have newer houses that is why it was preferable however now the East has much much more newer houses in many subdividable pockets.
Also not all the West had newer houses only small pockets. So that stereotype is not accurate.
