Does the Hudson freeze over in Tivoli in the winter?

If yes, is it thick enough for ice fishing? Skating?

It takes a couple of weeks of very cold weather to freeze the Hudson over, and we haven't had that for a long time. When it used to freeze over, though, the skating wasn't so good because the ice would be rough from the wind. Skating is usually better on protected ponds and lakes. People go iceboating on Tivoli Bays, though!
