There are two ways I can answer: in terms of physical location or in terms of industry. As far as the town in which they work, for the most part, it's not in Union Vale, since there are not many jobs here. Statistically, the average commute time for UV residents is about 25 minutes, which, not coincidentally, is about how long it takes to get to Poughkeepsie from here. Based on that and what I know of my area, I'd suggest that plenty work in the Poughkeepsie area. You also can't rule out a handful commuting to New York City or its suburbs daily.
In terms of industries, a plurality of adult Union Vale residents work as office managers of supervisors, or as secretaries/clerks.
