My family and I lived on College Road for 12 years before recently moving to another house in Karana Downs. Although it is the 'main' road for Karana Downs it is still very quiet and has much less traffic then main roads of most other suburbs; in the 12 years we lived there we were not once bothered by the 'traffic noise'. There was only ever traffic around 9am and 3pm as we lived near the school.

I have lived in Karana Downs since I was 6, my whole family and everyone we know loves living here and could never imagine moving to another suburb (hence why we are moving to another house in KD!) As a child there is plenty of space to run around, as a teenager all your friends are within walking distance and now as a uni student it is not too far to the city or major shopping centres and a wonderful quiet place to go home to and chill out when you are stressed. Everyone in KD is really friendly. How could you ask for anything more?

As a social teenager I am not bothered by the lack of shopping or take away foods nearby. If you don't mind driving to go shopping Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is about 20-25 mins away. There are also plenty of takeaway foods available in surrounding suburbs such as Bellbowrie and Brassall, which are about 15 mins away.
