Alderley

"Great suburb"

I've lived in Alderley for 6 years and it is a wonderful suburb. The neighbours are friendly and look out for each other, but not intrusive. There are a lot of long-term residents who maintain that sense of community which is lacking in so many other areas. Whilst there are plenty of senior citizens, there are also heaps of young families, young professionals, etc. You only have to go walking in the morning to see the diversity of friendly locals.

There are heaps of public transport options, lots of parks and open spaces, wide streets, etc. It is hard to believe Alderley is as quiet as any outer suburb, but it is only 6km from the CBD. With the redevelopment of the Alderley shops happening soon, it will make the area even better.

There isn't a lot of nightlife, but that is one of the reasons I moved to the area. The lack of nightlife means the area is quiet, there isn't undesirable behaviour, etc and if you want that sort of thing the Valley and CBD aren't far away.
