Tapping

"Out suburbs"

Recently sold after living in Tapping for 7 years. I noticed over the past 18 months the area starting to feel a little unsafe. From neighbours houses being broken into, to loud house parties. It's quite a shame really. Teenagers are stating to roam the streets on weekend nights as there is not much to do for them. Serviced by only 1 Transperth bus route, it can be a bit of a pain to get anywhere via public transport. During morning peak will take you around an hour and 20 minutes to get to Perth CBD by car. This is why I ended up moving out of the area.

Great for

  • Parks
  • Pets friendly

Not great for

  • Nothing to do for teenages
  • Only 1 bus service
  • So far that no one will come

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids

Hi Andy, Two retired people considering moving to WA ( for health reasons so climate is vip). We are looking at buying a small apartment/unit in a quiet location close to amenities. Any recommendations ie suburbs etc?

Hi Winom, the majority of Tapping is a very safe and friendly neighbourhood, most of our neighbours are in fact retired citizens! Tapping is very close to lots of shops (eg. coles, woolies, aldi) and has lots of parks to relax in. If you're not interested in Tapping, I would recommend Ashby which also has a great number of amenities (only a 5 minute-ish drive from Tapping)
