Glenwood

"Excellent location, safe and relaxing suburb"

I bought my house in 2004 and I have no intentions to sell. Simply put, I cannot find a better combination of quiet suburban lifestyle with nearly perfect motorways connectivity (M7 and M2).
What others tend to forget is the enormous advantage of having recycled water straight for the council, subject to NO regulations or limitations. Read green gardens all year around, clean driveways and cars and so forth. For me, it is priceless.
I know that there are significant differences between streets in Glenwood, so I purchased in Casino St, away from noise yet close to park and other facilities. In addition, I have a perfectly sized block and a big 2-storey house - more than enough space for me and my family.
In addition - perfect Foxtel satellite reception, ADSL/2+ syncing at 20 Mbits with Telstra Bigpond, 9 meters swimming pool, veggie garden, gazebo, large pergola, ... Make the ideal lifestyle.
I love it!

Is Calvary Grove a good street - we are looking to buy?

The best way to determine if a street is good for you is to take a day off in the middle of the week, and spend a few hours of the day parked there and/or walking around. Listen to noise levels, look at people's activities. Then repeat the same for a typical weekend (Saturday preferred). Once you determine that noise levels and type of neighbors are OK for you, then you have your answer. I did the same. Regarding people commenting negatively on this suburb, they either purchased an overpriced property at the wrong time (poor research), or are looking for a completely different lifestyle (I lived in the city for many years and I would never expect anything even remotely similar - advantages and drawbacks in both cases).

Hi, I recently bought a house in crestview drive, Comes under kings ridge estate. I am relatively new to the area. How is the area? Any burgalary? and is there any good schools. I have to travel to Rhodes. commuting by public transport seems to be difficult, Any advise on the street and suburb? How is caddies creek school? Thanks

Ferdinando

I cannot comment on schools since I have no children. I never had any burglary issue, the only annoyance happened with the occasional graffiti by some youngsters that have nothing better to do with their life, and the inevitable neighbour leaving barking dogs outside overnight.
